Nuru berasal dari Desa Poni-poniki, Kecamatan Motui Kabupaten Konawe Utara. Rabu, 27 Maret 2019, pagi, sebelum dia terbaring di rumah sakit, Nuru sempat alami musibah yang membuat lengan dan sebagian dari wajahnya harus dibalut dengan perban dan mendapat perawatan intensif.
Saat pagi itu kira – kira pukul 08.00 Wita, Nuru tiba-tiba pingsan ketika mau menanak nasi dengan menggunakan kayu bakar. Tidak tahu apa penyebabnya, penyakit epilepsi yang membuat tangan kanannya sulit digerakkan tiba – tiba kambuh sebelum nasi sempat masak.
Saat itu, dia tak mampu mengendalikan sakit yang datang tiba-tiba, tubuhnya langsung terbanting di atas bara api. Nuru pingsan. Tak ada orang lain di rumahnya yang bisa menolong. Suaminya yang juga sudah berumur lanjut, sedang berkunjung ke salah seorang tetangganya.
Saat siuman, Nuru masih tetap tetap terbaring di atas bara api. Teriakannya yang kesakitan, membuat salah seorang tetangganya bergegas ke pondoknya dan membantu memindahkan wanita tua itu dari atas bara api.
“Saya tiba-tiba jatuh, tak tahu kenapa, begitu bangun saya sudah penuh luka-luka, saya berteriak panggil orang,” ujar Nuru terbata-bata dijumpai di rumah sakit.
Di rumah sakit, hanya ada beberapa tetangga yang menemani mereka. Nuru nyaris tak punya kerabat dekat di sana. Suaminya, tak bisa ikut menemani ke Kota Kendari karena sudah uzur untuk menempuh perjalanan jauh.
Untungnya, meskipun dari kalangan tidak mampu, Nuru cukup mendapatkan perhatian. Petugas Dinas Kesehatan Konawe Utara yang dihubungi Liputan6.com mengatakan, sejumlah administrasi Nuru sudah diurus sehingga dia bisa dirujuk ke rumah sakit.
“BPJS dan kartu keluarga sudah ada kami bantu uruskan. Mereka tak punya BPJS, dan surat keterangan tak mampu, juga sudah diurus. Kami berharap, pihak RSUD bisa meringankan beban keduanya,” ujar Pihak Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Konawe Utara, Sitti Riani Thayeb.

Pasangan lansia asal Desa Poni-poniki Konawe Utara itu sering kehabisan makanan. Suaminya yang sudah berumur, hanya bekerja sebagai pemungut kelapa. Sedangkan, Nuru hanya ibu rumah tangga.
Upah Tahir memanjat kelapa didapat dari bagi hasil. Jika Tahir berhasil menjatuhkan 10 buah kelapa, pria lansia itu akan mendapatkan bagian lima buah kelapa.
Hasilnya, akan dikupas dan dijemur untuk dijadikan kopra. Namun, tubuh Tahir yang mulai bongkok, tak mampu lagi menahan banyak pohon kelapa, seperti saat mereka baru menikah 10 tahun lalu.
Diakui Nuru, kadang mereka harus mengikat perut dengan tali atau kain jika tak ada makanan yang bisa mengganjal perut. Cara itu, dianggap paling ampuh untuk mengatasi rasa lapar saat tak ada makanan.
“Tetangga tak setiap hari bawa makanan. Suami juga tidak setiap hari dapat uang,” ujar Nuru.
Beberapa tetangga mereka yang dijumpai di rumah sakit membenarkan. Pasangan ini, memang hidup hanya berdua dan tak memiliki keluarga.
“Tahir sekarang hanya bertugas memungut kelapa supaya dapat uang untuk beli makanan mereka berdua. Kalau terpaksa, kadang masih panjat juga,” ujar Lislani (32) salah seorang tetangga mereka di rumah sakit.
Kasmin (59), salah seorang tetangganya lainnya mengatakan, keduanya menikah sekitar 10 tahun lalu. Nuru adalah wanita asli Desa Motui. Sedangkan Tahir, seorang perantau asal Bima, Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB).
“Mereka saling kenal karena Tahir sering ke kampung membeli atap untuk dibawa ke Binongko, Wakatobi. Di situ mereka kemudian menikah sampai hari ini,” ujar Kasmin.
Kasmin melanjutkan, keduanya sebelumnya tinggal depan jalan poros provinsi di Desa Matandahi, desa yang berdekatan dengan Poni-poniki. Namun, pemukiman keduanya dipindahkan warga ke dalam lorong di wilayah Poni-poniki.
Kedua pasangan Lansia ini tinggal di gubuk yang dibangunkan warga untuk mereka. Terletak di dalam lorong yang tak begitu jauh dari jalan raya, hanya ada beberapa rumah warga di sekitarnya.
“Kalau lihat langsung rumahnya, mirip kandang. Kasian sebenarnya, kami juga sudah berusaha bantu-bantu,” ujar Kasmin, tetangganya.
Di gubuk yang terbuat dari kayu dan beratap rumbia itu, Nuru dan Tahir mengandalkan sambungan listrik dari tetangga. Namun, kadang hanya menggunakan penerangan lampu minyak.
“Mereka sudah lama di situ. Namun, bantuan warga miskin sepertinya tak pernah mereka terima. Sebab, identitas mereka kata beberapa pihak tak jelas,” ujar Asman, salah seorang tetangganya.
