Al-Khara’ithy mengatakan, “Ammarmah bin Watsi-mah memberitahu kami, bapakku memberitahuku, dia berkata, ‘Abdullah bin Rabi’ah adalah orang yang terkenal di kalangan orang-orang Quraisy sebagai orang yang baik dan selalu menjaga kehormatan dirinya. Penisnya tidak bisa ereksi. Sementara orang-orang Quraisy tidak pernah ada yang memberi kesaksian tentang kebaikan atau keburukannya dalam masalah ini.
Dia pernah menikahi seorang wanita. Tapi hanya beberapa waktu berselang, istrinya lari darinya dan kembali ke keluarganya lagi. Begitu seterusnya. Lalu Zainab binti Umar bin Salamah bertanya, ‘Mengapa para wanita itu lari dari anak pamannya?’
“Ada yang menjawab, ‘Karena wanita-wanita yang pernah menjadi istrinya tak mampu membuatnya mampu melaksanakan tugas sebagai suami.’
‘Tak ada yang menghalangiku untuk membuatnya bangkit,’ kata Zainab. ‘Demi Allah, saya adalah wanita berperawakan besar dan bergairah.’
“Maka akhirnya Zainab menikah dengannya,” kata Ibnu Qayyim Al-Jauziyyah, “selalu sabar meladeninya dan akhirnya mereka dikaruniai enam anak.”
Semangat suami bisa surut karena istri yang bersikap dingin dan menahan tangannya dari cengkeraman yang mesra kepada suami. Sikap dingin adakalanya karena rasa malu yang menguasai, sementara ia sebenarnya berkeinginan untuk memperoleh kehangatan cinta dari suaminya.

Tapi seperti minuman hangat yang didekatkan pada segelas es, gairah dan kemesraan suami bisa surut oleh dinginnya sikap istri dalam menanggapi usapan sayang dan kecupan cinta suaminya.
Sebaliknya, seorang suami yang sulit terbangkitkan hasratnya dapat menjadi laki-laki yang penuh kehangatan karena istri yang tahu bagaimana menumbuhkan ketertarikan suami kepada dirinya saat melakukan hubungan intim. Rasa malu tidak menghalanginya untuk memberikan kebahagiaan pada suaminya, dan merasakan keindahan berdekatan dengan suami. Karena keindahan dalam berhubungan intim merupakan kenikmatan yang dicintai dan diridhai Allah.
Insya-Allah, seorang istri yang mau menggairahkan suaminya akan memperoleh ridha dan barakah-Nya. Mudah-mudahan Allah memberikan kebahagiaan kepada Anda; kebahagiaan ketika melakukan hubungan intim bersama suami, kebahagiaan ketika menjalani kehidupan rumah tangga sehari-hari, kebahagiaan ketika Allah menitipkan benih suami di rahim Anda, kebahagiaan ketika bayi Anda mengisap ASI yang menjadi bagian dari diri Anda sendiri, dan terutama kebahagiaan ketika bertemu dengan Allah. Allahumma amin.
Benarlah nasihat Sayyidina Muhammad Al-Baqir kepada kaum wanita. Beliau mengatakan, “Wanita yang terbaik di antara kamu ialah yang membuang perisai malu ketika ia membuka baju untuk suaminya, dan memasang perisai malu ketika ia berpakaian lagi.”
Seorang suami akan merasa semakin sayang ketika istri mampu membangkitkan semangatnya ketika sama-sama menanggalkan pakaian. Dan ia merasakan cinta semakin mendalam disertai kebahagiaan dan keinginan untuk memberikan ketenteraman ketika ada rona merah di wajah istri setelah ia menutupi tubuhnya dengan pakaian kembali. Inilah sebagian di antara rahasia-rahasia.
